// VOL. IV — THE MONOLITH SURVEY
An exploration of minimalist brutalist architecture and natural shadows, documenting structural monoliths across Northern Europe with a quiet, observational eye.
Architectural Documentation
A conceptual capture series detailing light exposure inside closed geometric volumes, analyzing the boundary where structure meets space.
Minimalist Product Design
Observing everyday design models reduced strictly to pure utility, focusing on spatial footprint and raw material composition.
An editorial investigation into organic fibers and surfaces, comparing raw linen weave textures under highly controlled studio lighting configurations. The project uncovers microscopic architecture inside standard fabrics.
Execution Parameters:
Analog Film, Raw Fiber Analysis, Art Direction, Print Documentation
Study No. 14 — Concrete Elevation, Denmark
Study No. 19 — Geometric Convergence, Norway
Elliott Vance is a fine-art photographer and visual designer focused on minimalism, geometry, and spatial structures. Over the last decade, Vance has documented spatial architectures and natural illumination systems, working exclusively with raw materials and natural shadows to establish quiet visual compositions.
"My target is to isolate raw forms from the background noise, leaving only the essential geometry to communicate with the observer."
